Law Day Run

The Law Day Run is tomorrow morning. Since the course is on our home turf, it is usually well attended by BRC members and we usually kick a lot of butt.

- Beginners. Good luck to all of you who have been training with the Beginner's 5K Training Program. I'm sure you'll all do great out there!

- Tent. The Belleville Running Club will have our tent and a table out there. If you've been watching the e-mails on this list, but haven't made your way out yet, please stop by the tent and meet us.

- BRC Shirts. If you've got one, don't forget to wear it.

- Kids Run. The 5K is at 9:00am and it is followed by a diaper dash and a youth 1K race at approximately 9:45am. The BRC will be running with the kids to encourage them. The kids races start at the same location as the 5K.  I currently have Shelly Adams, Christy Belsom, Shannon Blaes, Dan Ernst, Jason McCoskey, Ken McKinley, Kristen Preston, Brendan Preston, Patty Shaw, Debbie Townsend, and Sarah West committed to running with the kids. We can use as many people as possible, so please help out regardless of whether or not you've already committed to doing so.

- Picture. As in past years, we will take a group picture after the race. Please assemble at the finish line right after the kids 1K run is complete.

Thanks!

10th Annual

St. Clair County Law Day 5K Run/Walk
1K Youth Fun Run

3 Mile Wheelchair Event

Saturday, April 30, 2011

Belleville , IL April 25, 2011

To celebrate the 10th Annual Law Day Run the committee has implemented some new features.  These additions include a three mile wheelchair event (escorted by Big Shark Bicycle Club); Five Pictures, Five Stories, Five Songs; performance shirts; and fun-filled events for race day.  We will once again feature chip timing provided by Big River Running.

The success this race has seen is the result of the efforts of the City of Belleville , St. Clair County, our sponsors (some of whom have been sponsors since our first year), our numerous volunteers, and you, the participants.  Everyone working together has made this event a huge success.  We are anticipating a record number of participants this year.

Whatever your reasons for participating, we thank you.   We hope you continue to keep active and participate in this event as it benefits a worthy organization, the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation , Inc.

Remember the Law Day Run is the first event to qualify for the Belleville Triple Crown Athlete Medal.  There is still time to be a part of all of the excitement.

Online registration will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 .  The online voting for your favorite starting line song will also close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27th.  If you miss the online registration deadline you can still participate.  Late Registration is Friday, April 29th at The Lincoln Jug Restaurant 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.   Day of Race Registration is available on Saturday, April 30th from 7:00 a.m. - 8:45 a.m. To Register online go to:  LawDayRunRegistration
