Turket Trot - November 18th in Maryville

My brother is a good friend of the guy putting this on:

 

The Maryville Park committee and CHS cross country are hosting a 5k Turkey Trot on Sat. Nov. 18. - Walk, Jog, Run.

 

Location: Drost Park, Pavilion #1 off Scheiber court in Maryville (turn right off Vadalabene by Alfonzo's pizza)

 

Registration is 8:00 - 8:45 a.m.

 

Entry fee is $10.00 by 11/16 or $15.00 on race day

 

Divisions: Male and Female - 9 & under; 10 - 15; 16 - 19; 20 -

29; 30 - 39; 40 - 49; 50 - 59; 60 & up

Belleville Bike Ride (Tour de Belleville - 7/14/06)

Perhaps not the most appropriate venue to post this (since it is a biking event), but there is a Bike Ride scheduled in Belleville for Friday, July 14th at 9:00pm.

The first Tour de'Belleville is being organized by Neighborhood Associations as a fundraiser to purchase a speed monitor for safer neighborhoods. The cost per bike is $15 which includes a commemorative t-shirt. The 7-mile course will kick off at 9 p.m. for Union United Methodist Church. If a registered rider is able to start the 2nd lap by 10 p.m. they're welcome to ride the course twice.

Your official Tour de'Belleville T-Shirt can be picked up July 10-13 at Beatnik's in downtown Belleville. YOUR T-SHIRT IS YOUR TICKET TO RIDE THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT WEAR YOUR SHIRT TO PARTICIPATE ON THE RIDE!!!

Our Public Relations Manager strongly encouraged a site other than the yahoo group be created. Since this was free, we went with a blog on blogspot. Anyone know of a place to get a free domain and hosting?

Our Public Relations Manager is working on putting together a sign to advertise our water stop and drum up more support and increase membership.
