Belleville Chili Cookoff – October 3-4

Hello Everyone,

The Chili Cookoff is only 2 weeks away and there is still a lot to be
accomplished. Dan setup another YahooGroup specifically for the
chili cookoff. We would like to encourage anyone that would like to
actively participate in the planning of the event to join the
BRC_Chili_Cookoff YahooGroup. I will have a link at the bottom of
this email.

If you are mostly interested in working the booth, but not
necessarily interested in planning, don't worry about signing up for
the new group. Please just email me your Name & Phone Number and
your availability on 10/2, 10/3, and 10/4. My email address is
Toby_Trapp@yahoo. com. If you have already filled out a form at the
meeting, don't worry about emailing me.

This year we are ordering some BRC shirts from Beatniks. It will be
a regular cotton t-shirt with the BRC logo on the front. If you
would like a shirt for the chili cookoff, or just to wear around
please email Dan at danieltrapp@ yahoo.com with your name and shirt
size. It is very important you email him right away because we need
to get the order in by next Tuesday. We will order extra, but we
need a rough estimate to order. The cost is $5 (we'll collect when
you get the shirt).

With that said, we now need to delegate some duties. Here is a list
of tasks/duties we need accomplished in advance of the chili cookoff
weekend. Please email me if your interested in any of these:

· Promotions – Duties include calling running
organization/ businesses for race flyers or other giveways we can have
at our stand. (2-3 people)

· Discount Person – Duties include calling grocery stores, meat
shops, etc. to see if we can get donated items or discounts for food
and paper products. (1-2 people)

· Someone who has the ability to get a big BRC flag or sign to
hang above our stand.
